Who Looks Like Beyonce
How many "dumbness points" do I earn by realizing at 2.30 PM that I'm wearing my sweater with the inside out?
Luckily enough, one colleague allerted me before I went to a briefing.

The slaughter of dolphins.
Each year in Taiji in southern Japan, is consumed by a tragedy that the West is almost totally dark. For 6 consecutive months, thousands of whales are brutally killed for the reasons disparate.
The Japanese fishermen, during the migration of whales, out to sea with their boats, great location. Once spotted dolphins, dive into the water that long steel pipes, beaten, producing a sound that interferes with the ability to approach the dolphins, which are now in a state of total panic. The fishermen are pulling in this way the animals to a wide bay - known as the "Bay of Death" - which is closed by thick layers of the network, preventing escape. To prevent escape, also fishermen inflict serious wounds some examples: the dolphins are highly social animals, and never abandon a family member is injured or in difficulty.
Dolphins, in a panic and overwhelming fear, are left for days in the bay. On the day of slaughter, are pushed into the shallow water near the beach, and here are brutally killed. The fishermen used harpoons and hooks and hit the animals to death. Each piece takes from 6 to 20 minutes to bleed to death or suffocated, while the other pack members swim frantically around it screaming in pain.
bodies are then taken to a central slaughtering, and meat sold across the country.
Another industry fueled by killings in Taiji is one of the dolphins in captivity. Some examples are in fact chosen to be sold to aquariums or programs of "swimming with dolphins" in the world. Fishermen tend to choose young mothers to do this: Once identified, the push toward the shore and out of the water (where they suffer serious damage to internal organs) separating them from children. The mothers are then placed in special devices for transport to a life in captivity, while their children are killed.
This needless barbarism, which feeds a billion dollar market for Japan, violates the most basic laws of 'International Whaling Commission (IWC), which is an integral member. In 1986, in fact, the moratorium on cetaceans' s IWC has determined that Japan has the right to kill a limited number of whales a year for "scientific purposes" (definition, this, that acts as a cover to a patently illegal traffic of meat trade cetaceans). The IWC has banned in Japan, however, to kill any protected species, which occurs every year in Taiji, without the government if you take care. Fishermen kill, as documented by several groups, any whale that is close to the bay. Over the years, we have had evidence of the killing:
- Striped dolphins
- Common dolphins
- pilot whales (endangered species and protected by the IWC moratorium)
- Pseudorca crassidens
- Peponocephala electra
Sea Shepherd in Taiji.
From the website of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society:
"On October 6, 2003, after remaining in hiding for several weeks in between the rocks around the bay, the crew Campaign for Taiji Dolphins were able to film and photograph the killing of cetaceans.
The crew has been attacked, intimidated and their lives were put at risk by members of the local community for daring to expose to the world as barbaric hitherto kept under silence. Many of the photographs can be viewed on our website. You can clearly see how the blood of dolphins killed has colored the water red. Regarding the publication of these photos, Japan has witnessed AP press stating that the photos were not altered in any way.
The crew of Sea Shepherd remained in Taiji for over a month, despite intense hostility that have formed with local fishermen, continuing to photograph and film all the time.
On 18 November 2003, two crew members, Allison Lance Watson and Alex Cornelissen, dived in the bay and swam up to 15 networks to free trapped dolphins which were to be slaughtered the following morning. They swam for over an hour untying and cutting the nets, making escape routes for animals. They were subsequently seen by a passer-by who immediately called the police Taiji, which has been in contact with the local fishermen who were out to sea. After several minutes of fighting in the water, the two activists were pushed to shore and immediately arrested. They were then kept in separate cells for 23 days with no possibility contact or communication with the rest of the world. With the help of other groups, Sea Shepherd has immediately organized protests in 28 cities.
The world and many Japanese citizens are well aware, for the first time, the horrendous brutality of this slaughter of beautiful creatures. These images are finished on the front pages of all newspapers and rocked and shocked the world. Lovers of cetaceans around the world have felt absolutely outraged and condemned the unacceptable behavior of Japan to justify the death ritual.
The Japanese government's reaction to this outrage was to place on the shore and the hills surrounding the bay signs that prohibit the filming or taking photographs of the massacre. They also raised large tarpaulins around the bay to hide what is happening, and guards were put to patrol the area against the approach of anyone who wants to protect these animals.
Despite thousands of letters, emails and protests, the Japanese government allow this horror to continue, causing more than 23,000 dolphins are brutally killed. "
" (...) Dolphins blow and wiggle, in a panic. Diving, a dolphin and a man reaches a punch to sink T, 60 cm long, behind the blowhole. It follows a rush of blood and the dolphin became agitated and trembling. Screams and flips on its side in water, unable to leave the breather, and start to drown. (...) More men are doing the same to others in the flock. The bay is filled with blood. The terrified children are floundering around, crazed by the screams of the mothers. (...) At other times, when they fenced thirty or forty dolphins or pilot whales - another species is a little bigger - the whalers are still less for the thin and simply go through the open boats through the pack, stabbing and stabbing the animal. The wounded and dying dolphins tilt and spill blood, and some who still try to swim to keep afloat the fellow with the beak, diving beneath them. "

Corriere del Ticino, 01.27.2009
This poor creature scared, terrified, in panic total, he tried to escape to keep proving to life just like anyone of us. Tell me that the method of slaughter does not make animals suffer, tell me who do not realize it, tell me that they do not realize. Tell me who do not suffer.
tell me that all this is irrelevant, that a bull who flees for fear touches you.
All this suffering is caused by you, you want at all costs the steak in the dish. Close your eyes to an obvious and profound suffering. CONGRATULATIONS!
