From the site of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society:
"The harpoon vessel Yushin Maru No. 2 had to leave from the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary to repair damaged propeller, which reported failure while illegally hunting whales in Antarctic waters during the latter part of December 2008.
The ship was at the port of Surabaya, pending repairs, from January 5, 2009. "
The statement reads that the Indonesian government has refused to help pay for the repair of the Yushin Maru 2, also denying access to the port of Surabaya in the future. Many events were held in the Indonesian town, to persuade the government to stop importing goods from Japan, and to raise awareness averaged over the illegal Japanese whaling.
